Dr. Bill Cruickshank, the Chief Executive (CE) writes: "Quality Associates" (QA) was formed in 1992 by a group of professionals enthusiastic about quality as a basis for business improvement. The Company consists of two Directors and a number of Associates with experience of working at a high level in major companies as well as in SME's. The Company has the flattest possible structure with the CE at the centre and everyone else around him. The CE's job is simply to help all personnel to undertake their work.The Company works to a Code of Conduct.
QA Structure
All personnel are totally responsible for their own work and have been highly selected both for their specialised knowledge and for their expertise in delivering high quality consultancy and training. Everyone plays a role in developing the company's Business Plan on which our ISO 9001:2000 is based. In addition, we are a registered Consultancy and Training Organisation with The British Quality Foundation.
History
Aberdeen Quality Associates Ltd. was incorporated as a limited company in 1992 with its Registered Office at 8, Rubislaw Den North, Aberdeen, and currently has two directors including the Chief Executive.The company provides consultancy and training in management systems for companies on a World Wide basis.
Although AQA Ltd. is still registered at Companies House (Scotland) as Aberdeen Quality Associates Ltd, the company is now trading under the name "Quality Associates" to reflect its diversification, its move into the international market place and its prime intent of providing quality in everything it undertakes.

The Management of the company is dedicated to identifying the needs and expectations of its customers, (and other interested parties), including regulatory and legal requirements and to ensuring that they are converted into meaningful requirements which the company can fulfill with the aim of achieving complete customer satisfaction.

Quality Associates is dedicated to the achievement and maintenance of the highest possible standards of total quality in meeting the needs and expectations of our clients, our stakeholders, other interested parties and legal requirements. The aim of total quality, in every case, is meeting these requirements on time, every time, without defect, error or omission.

Health Safety and Environmental Policy

Specifically, we will:
- Ensure that none of us, or those we employ, are exposed in any way to any health hazards, and that we all adopt sensible health styles in our private lives.
- Observe all Statutory Safety Regulations, and take the greatest of care in our domestic and leisure activities.
- Minimise the impact of our activities on the environment, seeking to reduce our emissions and minimise our waste through the principles of "reduce, reuse and recycle".
- Further, we will seek to influence those with whom we make contact to aspire to the same standards.
Drug and Alcohol Abuse
- Individually, and collectively, we seek to ensure that our activities are not influenced by any substance abuse.
- Further, we will encourage our Clients to adopt a similar policy, if they do not have one in place.
- In the event of any apparent substance abuse by any Quality Associates employee, Associate, or sub-contractor, we will provide assistance in the necessary counselling.
- Any case of involvement of any Quality Associates employee, Associate or sub-contractor in the supply or distribution of illicit drugs will result in the termination of employment or contract.
